				News Spree 19th July We will once again be heading to Hayward's Heath Spree for an exciting weekend of games, water fights and Bible based teaching from brilliant teams from around the country. If you want to join us it's £42 and you need to email Sarah by the 25th of May! Youth team trip to Austria (20th-30th June - there will be no interface this week) Sarah, Kris and James are sadly leaving the team in September, Kris is off to work in a church in Manchester, Sarah will be finishing her degree up at Spurgeon's full time and James is still thinking through his options. A new team will be in place in September and will be announced soon! We are delighted to announce the arrival of Jude Wheeler on Thursday 15th of May. Congratulations to Rachel, Dan and Samuel on the addition to your family. Gap Year Update Luke Dowding has successfully completed his time in New York, where he’s been working with street children for Metro Ministries. Luke is now working with a Church and Community he first visited in 2006 in Tirana, the capital of Albania. He's out there till the end of June but will be back with us after that. Sarah Crane is dividing her time between SBC youthwork, Spurgeon’s and the WAVES listening service, as well as helping Brenda out in the church office. Kristian is balancing his time at SBC with studying two days a week at Spurgeon’s College towards his degree. Dawn and James are working hard at SBC as 1st year interns and completing a foundation course at Spurgeon's. International trips The team will be jetting off to Austria for ten days on June 20th as part of a large evangelism team working in Vienna during the European football tournament. The WAVES Cafe You may have visited us already, and if not why not?! Every Wednesday and Friday we are at the Cafe on Church Street between 3:15 and 4:30pm for school year 7 & 8. PS2, soon to be Wii, Toast eating competitions and quizzes are the order of the day, add to that great company and heaps of fun, come and pop in! Remember, we want the youth work at SBC to be the best it can be so please let the team know if there is anything they can do to make the work at SBC even better.
